Hi Ludwig,

              inventory value report shows difference around 1M but in conflict report shows this.

Date interval code

From date 1/1/2018

To date 6/12/2018

Main account 110450

Exclude physical to ledger No

Exclude blank dimension values Yes

Dimension name

Dimension value

Module Balance

Inventory 15,727,438.98

General ledger 15,008,021.06

Discrepancy 719,417.92

when I review within conflict report I found many item but the biggest difference was I posted. and assume the same would happened for others also as I check 1 more item.

let me know which detail required I will post it. this file is huge so I am not sure if I can upload the complete excel file.

remarks for that particular item is this.

"The setting of the Post financial inventory check box is not correct for the item model group General in the Item model group form in Inventory management.

"

2) there is a difference in transfer order shipment more than 100K.

Hello Guy,

Thank you! I have tried that now too, but it does not work. It creates also only on work for on item on the license plate.

And we definitely need a scanner menu item that creates an inventory movement work for a license plate with multiple items on it.

License plate moving

Hello! I'm trying to move a LP from one location to another. I want to move all the items within the LP at once. I have the menu item Movement and a work template, but when I scan a LP number, nothing happen. The fields are populated with item nr, quantity, location, description and when I click OK, nothing changes. No error message, no action :) Any idea or any guide on how to set up license plate movement?

To my knowledge, I believe it is not possible to have the date written this way December 31, 2017. 

And no there is no way to preview, you need to generate each time. I know it is a long process. But it is a normal process. Once you know the tool, you will set your reports once and for all. And you wont need search anymore. But you must go through the process.

Security Role in UI list

I created a Security Role. The role does not display in the (System Administration -> Users) list of roles you can assign to a user.

The only things I did:

1. Create the role

2. Assign some privileges and duties and all that

3. Build project

4. Didn't work, so I built my model

Is there something I am missing? Something I need to refresh, build or create?

Set supply for Manufactured Part

Our Supply Chain group wants to set a weekly build on one of our manufactured parts to 600 per week.  The part is used in several products.  The products are planned based on forecast.  One suggestion was to set this up as a supply plan, but this doesn't offset the forecast so the demand is too high.

The simplest answer would be to set up fixed kanbans, but supply chain does not like that answer.

Does anyone know how else to set this up?

We are running AX2012R3 - Lean Production with kanbans.

Hi,

I cannot identify an issue with this setup except that the last row looks a bit odd. Not sure if this is because of the blurred screenprint.

Can you explain in more detail what issue you have with this calculation expression?

I have a user who is an employee in one company, trying to set up an alert to notify her of changes in another company. She has an alert for the company she is employed in that works well and would like to replicate this same alert in the other company. She has tried to set it up the same way, but it does not work.

Can she do this or is developer intervention required?

Thanks for this update.

Can you please check in the fixed asset base data - not in the value model - what quantity you can see in the quantity field?

From what you describe, I would assume that you expect AX to create 5 different fixed assets. Is that right?

Thanks Nikolaos,

I go through the link and almost understand.

As i mentioned before that "Customer mostly did all customization in USR Layer.  Little bit customization also did in CUS layer."

So, in that scenario i need to take Entire Application backup from Production server and Paste the Application backup in to Dev server.

Is't correct?

Please give me more shed on this.

The fixed asset base data has the correct count of 5 and unit cost of 90. See below. I am expecting 1 fixed asset which is what AX is creating with a count of 5 in the quantity field for this 1 fixed asset. This 1 fixed asset ID is defaulted on the PO line after the product receipt posting.The only issue is with the inventory transactions where it shows only 1 item/serial number as sold and not 5 after PO invoice posting.

Additionally, the value model balance is also correct i.e. 450

a careful movement is to take all layers from one server to other. n ax 2009 there is no model store, so copying all content of application folder will make sure layers being equivalent.

 I am looking to detail out how a project would be associated to a fixed asset and upon completion the WIP costs would increase the value of the fixed asset. 

I know I can use an internal project and do something similar to that but it still requires me to do a write up of the fixed asset manually, I believe.  So is the investment project truly working where I can eliminate the WIP to the fixed asset and it will increase its value? 

If so does anyone have insight to how the investment project, estimates that are needed for the investment project, and how to write up an associated fixed asset would work?

I have requirements to take Application and Database backup in AX 2009. Customer wants to take backup (Application + Database) from Production Server and RESTORE (Application + database) backup in Dev server.

Note : Customer mostly did all customization in USR Layer.  Little bit customization also did in CUS layer.

Kindly let me know the steps.

Please give me more shed on this.

Hi Ludwig,

I just realized, in my earlier post in point 4 where I was showing the voucher for the fixed asset acquisition posting, the current layer is showing a debit to fixed asset of only $90 and not $450. The tax layer is showing a debit of $450 to the fixed asset which is correct.

The surprising thing is that the fixed asset balance for the current layer is correct as $450 even when the voucher is of $90. Posting screenshots again for your reference:

Fixed assets posting voucher: Voucher showing $90.

Fixed asset balance: Fixed asset balance is $450 even when voucher is showing only $90.

Inventory transactions: Only serial number S11 is sold and other serial numbers do not have a sold transaction towards fixed asset FURN_FIX-000018
