Try capturing an AX server trace and see what is running slow, if it is a specific query or some processing? If it is a query, also have a look at the Query execution plan.

Let us know what did you find and share the details, so we could further guide you.

Hello,

can you give an example of what you need please? You haven't find any solution by using the supplementary item form (use the supplementary item group ?) ?

Hi folks,

We've installed GST hotfix and so all the mentioned DLL's and objects are available at required places after installation. 

All required Tax setup has been done as per the documentation from MS.

Now, I am trying to test it by creating SO.

But as soon as I click any of the buttons which goes for GTE tax calculation(Totals, confirmation..), I am getting an error as

Anyone else faced this issue?

It looks like a issue with the dll "Microsoft.Dynamics365.Tax.Core".

Please suggest if anything else needs to be done apart from the installation steps provided by MS or If there could be anything I can do to overcome the issue?

Local machine account does not matter until this prerequisite is finished.

What will you do / or what do you want Ax to do with the scheme once its set up?

is the logic consistent i.e. same item, same quantity every time?

How many items/customers?

What is the data maintenance workload each time  you ad a new customer or a new item?

You can set up whatever scheme you like in word or Excel and use doc attachments

You can use kits as supplementary items.

yes i found that but not fully on my needs. I use like buy one get free scenario with our multiple items across 500+ with different conditions like some items in Buy 16 get 1 free and some ares buy buy 30 get 2 like this.....

yes i found that but not fully on my needs. I use like buy one get free scenario with our multiple items across 500+ with different conditions like some items in Buy 16 get 1 free and some are buy 30 get 2 like this.....  ....

I just want like we make Policies like Discounts in Retail Module. for my user it is very difficult to make on each line supplementary calculation  . It could be directly work on sales order according to our deploy scheme....

Parameter form is usually the first entry in each module in the Setup submenu on the area page. It holds system setup that is essential for the specific module to work. You have 1 single record for each company account in a parameter table.

As with all other basic information for AX, you could also find details on this within the MSDN documentation:

Any application works based on assumptions and set of facts. You can say that, behaviour of application is derived by user wish. To operate any module, it is must to have some pre-configured rules, that will derive the behaviour of that module.

Same happens with AX/D3FO. There are lot of modules in AX. Each one of them has its own basic setup. Such setup is done at parameters form.

Regarding its location, it can be found under setup of each module.

There are some available, such as the one below, that is built on main account categories

If you set up your report this way, isn't this what you want to achieve?

When you make changes in your querie, inside AX, you need to refresh your Visual Studio dataset(right click at the dataset node > refresh)...when you do that, everything will works fine!

Hi All.

Apologies for the newbie question. I'm having my first serious maul with an existing SSRS report. I need to add two batch attributes to the StockJournal-Count report.

I have nested the relevant data sources in the InventCountingList query and extended the query in the SSRS datasource (InventCountingListDS) to include the new fields. I pulled the fields onto my report and it works, tested, proven, happy!


I am linking InventJournalTrans-InventTableModule-InventTableModule-InventBatch-PdsBatchAttributes and returning field PdsBatchAttributes.PdsBatchAttribValue.


My issue now is, I am linking to TWO RECORDS in PdsBatchAttribValue table. (where PdsBatchAttribId='Panel - Length' & PdsBatchAttribId='Panel - Width').


OK, as a quick fix, I thought hijack the Select Statement on my Visual Studio DataSource select statement. I noticed the statement contained PdsBatchAttributes.1.PdsBatchAttribValue.  I have never come across this syntax before, logically this returns the first record in the recordset? I tried PdsBatchAttributes.2.PdsBatchAttribValue. Of course this kicked up an error.


Next I tried modifying my query and nesting TWO links to the same table (pdsBatchAttributes under InventBatch. It wasn't happy with a 1:n relationships so I changed them to 1:1 and added a range of

PdsBatchAttribId='Panel - Length'

PdsBatchAttribId='Panel - Width'


to each respective datasource.

So now I have pdsBatchAttributes_L.PdsBatchAttribValue and pdsBatchAttributes_W.PdsBatchAttribValue in my query. It compiles and appears to be OK.


Jump back into Visual Studio, add these to my select query. get an error that it cannot find pdsBatchAttributes_L.PdsBatchAttribValue in my datasource. Seems it needs the table name.

OK, Where next? How to I return the two recordsets as two fields on the same record? Use of an alias for the field name would seem logical but cannot see anywhere to put one.

I will kick myself when I get to the bottom of this.

Your welcome.

You should usually create a new case for another issue. But, in here it's seems you have forget to fill the location somewhere in the quarantine order. Your item is setup to site / warehouse / location.
