Hi Avinash,
the kernel version you are going to see within info/about is always the binary version of the client you are currently running. If there is a 6.3.164.0 shown here, this means that the executable Client Ax32.Exe is not the version from CU9 packet but the RTM version.
If you upgrade a installtion from R3RTM to CU9 (or CU8) you HAVE to upgrade ALL clients too.
Upgrading the client can be done using the AxUpdate Installer looking for binariy updates. BUT.
There are some issues here: (Belonging to the changes which were done in R3CU8)
Two important things which should be kept in mind.
1st) Starting from R3CU8 Binaries you need the ReportViewer2012 as a prerequisite.
2nd) Starting from R3CU8 Binaries you need VS2013 and therefore - if you have it installed somewhere - the VisualStudio Tools for VS2013
So Install ReportViewer 2012 in all cases on the client machines , and look if you have VSTools2010 installed on the client machines, and - if YES - remove them.
Then it should be possible to install the Client using the AxUpdate Installer.
Or other way: Create a SlipStream Installation DVD which include CU9 (or CU8) and do a fresh Client Install from this medium after removing your current client AND VSTools2010.
But nevertheless you have to use ReportViewer2012 otherwise you can run in trouble if upgrading a R3(RTM) client to a R3(>=CU8 client).
And believe the kernel version in info/about - this what is shown here is the client kernel version.
From your post it seems that you have upgraded the client on the AOS machine correctly - where did you read the 6.3.2000.326 kernel version?
You can also do a right click / properties / details within the explorer on the Ax32.Exe (and even the Ax32Serv.Exe) to determine the kernel versions. (btw: this is the only way to detect the kernel version of the AOS executable)
regards
Douglas
