The Item Number and Product number are different and not in sync

Hi,

We would like products in our Dynamics system to be in sync and have the same Product Number and Item Number.

For example in Dynamics one of our products below:

Item number: I046805

Product number: I046905

For some products the Item Number and Product Number differ, our vendor has said to keep the item number sequence on but the resolution to this is to remove the item number sequence.

Can anyone advise if there is another way and potentially why the vendor has told us to keep 'Item Number Sequence' on?

Our current workaround is to change the product number to match the item number.

AX 2102 Pending Supplier Invoices - why do i see Posted Invoices?

Just a quick question - if i go into the pending Supplier invoice screen and tick the 'All' option, why do i still see the invoices with a Posted status?

Surely once they are posted, they are no longer pending?

Hi: When I try to change one item´s Item model group from Standard cost o Weighted average I have this message:

The item is set to be evaluated by inventory model 'Standard cost'. The system cannot convert the item to be evaluated by an inventory model of type 'Transactions settled' only inventory models of type 'Transactions not settled' can be selected

For more information, the item have 0 cost an 0 quantity at this moment

I appreciate any help with this issue

I wrote this exam in 2013.  However when I see my transcript, I do not see any record of it.  I do understand that the exam was since discontinued, but I still would like to see the record of the effort.

How to Recover Deleted Exchange Rates in Microsoft AX

Hi,

We were updating manually exchange rates in Microsoft AX. But by mistake one of the currency rates is deleted or gone which is not appearing in General Ledger> Setup> Currency> Currency Exchange Rates. Please see in attached image, exchange currency DKK is not visible in the list of exchange rates.

Please help me to recover all the updated exchange rates we had updated in Microsoft AX.

Dear community i am looking for answer that how i can set condition on datasource level in AX2012 .
Senario is something like this
i have 5 record lines

Example: We have three fields ID , Name, City
i want to set condition like this

if(city == 'abc')
{
SHOW NAME AND CITY COLUMN IN GRID
}
ELSE
{
SHOW ONLY ID IN GRID
}

How i can set this condition by using datasource level fields ?

Location stocking limits

Hi everyone,

I have a question about "Location stocking limits". I found out that we could define different values for the stocking limits to evaluate the capacity of a specific location. We could define a limit for a Location profile Id. or for a Location itlsef, and then the system will select the most detailed matching record first.

So, my question is: If I define a stocking limit for a specific location (e.g. 1 PL) and then another different stocking limit for the location profile Id. of the previous location (e.g. 2 PL), which one the system will consider as the most detailed? And which stocking limit will apply?

SQL Blocking when batch job is run in parallel in multiple legal entities

Hello,

So we have a requirement to delete inactive addresses from LogisticsPostalAddress table ,based on some parameter values,

But when i'm trying to run this batch job in multiple companies in parallel , it is causing blocking 

I want to run it in parallel to reduce the time taken by batch job to finish , as of now it is set to run in dependency 

Below is the sample code

Hello Experts,

I have been facing an issue in Dynamics 365 payable module, Budget Control is active and in-case of unavailability of budget in a specific budget code system indicate an error of exceeding budget but it is not stopping the user to process further. After 3 attempts system allow the user to process the payment even in-case of budget un-availability.

Cancel a Returorder with some cancelled lines - Ax2012

Hello

I have, for example, a Return Order in Ax2012, where we have received two out of three articles. The third article has been cancelled ( the Linestatus for that item is Canceled but the  Returnstatus " is ""Expected" " ) and the order has been Invoiced.

This means that the "Returnstatus " on the order is still "Open" and we want the status to be "Closed".

As we have our AX connected to another system via integration, we don´t want to delete the canceled row, to keep it for history.

How can we via a job in "Salesline" in the AOT ensure that the entire canceled line can remain in the order, but that the Returnstatus and the order itself , gets closed?

I can via a job in AOT get the line from "Expected" to "Canceled", but the order still remains Open.

AOS restarting using command line or AXService.exe in on premise D365F&O

Hi all Experts,

I want to know about restarting the AOS in on-premise D365 F&O.

I know this version uses the Service Fabric and to restart I should go to the service fabric explorer, but I want to see the way of restarting using the command line or the AXService.exe file.

So, my main question is what is the main task of the AXService.exe? is that for restarting AOS or not?

Hello

In one of our jobs in AX2012 R3, there is this part (when we e.g. cancel a line in a purchase order) with "info(strFmt("%1 - %2", PurchLine.RemainPurchPhysical, PurchLine.RemainInventPhysical));".

What does "%1 - %2" mean here?

If there are several fields that you want to correct in the table "Salesline", should you eg write "%1 - %4" etc.?

Dynamics 2012 R2 CU7 - Advanced bank reconciliation - match multiple lines

Hi,

We have advanced bank reconciliation enabled and trying to manually match multiple transactions on statement with multiple transactions on the bank (screenshot attached). In total both side are equal and should match but we are getting error. It looks like system is thinking we are trying to do a reversal. Did anyone else come across this? How do you handle many to many transaction matching?
