I have a PO for which packing slip journal is done without dimension location for one item line. Now the obvious error at the time of invoicing is 'Inventory Dimension Location must be specified'. How to update the dimension location for that particular line item >

Is there a way to issue the items in a purchase order directly to users?
I just think it would be easier instead of creating a Material Issuance journal and adding the items one by one with all the configurations/color/size/warehouse/location details you need to fill in. If all the items in the purchase order will be issued together, can't we just import the details of all those items into a material issuance journal, then perhaps change the qty if not all will be served?
Please let me know if this is possible because sometime this is the case for us. We purchase items that can be purchased only from one supplier and then days after we received it, we issue it to users.

If you able to cancel packing slip journal - do it. Then specify needed inventory dimensions through PO and then try to post product receipt and invoice.
I don't think there is an easy answer to this -see the related link community.dynamics.com/.../230953 which will give you a lot of useful insights and maybe help you side step some issues.
You might try a different approach at user level to restrict all rights by a dimension like company , site or warehouse - at Ax2012 you can also still use RLS.

You can specify financial dimensions on the Item or do some customisation to fill the financial dimension.
Why you need to know where is located in sql table? Update AX tables through SQL is not good idea.
The financial dimension is DefaultDimension field that managed by DimensionDefaultingController for display, user interaction, and storage of default dimension values.

We have created sales credit note with wrong date and invoiced and voucher got generated.
But now my requirement is need to change the invoice and voucher dates.
Eg :- I have created sales credit note on 10 Sep 2018 now I want to change it back to 1st Sep 2018 for Both invoice date and voucher.
Can any one suggest me proper way to do it in technical or functional.

You can use the DEFAULTDIMENSION filed in table INVENTJOURNALTRANS to update the financial dimension.

i hope you will be fine . i want to say that i have a very strange issue in SSRS report . i build a report which show Loan record of worker and their monthly deduction against their loan . there are are different types of Benefit like Advance Salary , Vehicle loan and Graduity Loan . i want to show deductive amount against worker relevant loan But issue is that deductive amount in mixing up with other loan . For Example deductive amount of Vehicle loan is mixing with graduity loan and also of graduity loan with Vehicle loan .

I am trying to delete an item on released products with a production type "None" and no transaction at all. But this infolog error appears: Items cannot be deleted while dependent Production BOM exist. Delete dependent Production BOM and try again.

We created a Sales order, it has one line for 2 units of item X. Units were selected from two different batch numbers. We post Packing slip and Invoice.
The question is, What do we have to do in order to, upon creating the Return sales order, we automatically get two lines, one for each selected batch number?

Dear all,
I have successfully configured batch group, smtp and email parameters for sending emails from AX. I'm receiving emails from my test job. Now I need to know how to get notifications for change based alerts. I have a new batch group say Alerts and default AOS also selected. I assign this Alerts batch group to System Admin--->Periodic-->Alerts-->change based alerts. And also done email template for Organization Admin--->Alerts---> Alert Parameter with batch group Alerts selected in General within the same form. I created one change based alert for notification and assign email id in vendors when Currency is changed. The problem is systems is pop-up the notification in the corner of the screen but I can't receving same alert to email id. I check the email sending status is waiting then after sometime it turns to failed. Please help me to resolve this problem.
