Setup of ledger account for Inventory expenditure, profit is not specified.

Setup of ledger account for Inventory receipt is not specified.

Journal has not been posted.

The journal contains 1 lines with errors.

This is what it is showing me.... So when i went back to the posting to select a main Account I was unable to . What could be the reason ?

i want to create a PO for my services, who's agreement finish after certain time limit (lets say for 1 year). for that PO i want to generate invoice as many as i want in 1 year of time limit. 

i got to know that this thing will be done through purchase agreement. but i'm unable to release order against that purchase agreement.

kindly help me with this scenario, step by step.

Hi,

Probably the item is assigned to an item group that is not specified in your inventory posting matrix.

Can you check that?

Do you have a posting line that applies to all of your items?

Can you actually make a modification to the ledger accounts setup in the inventory posting matrix?

What roles does your user have assigned?

I'm unable to select a main account in Inventory Management >Setup>posting >posting, for the Inventory expenditure , profit radio button under Inventory Tab. Also i'm unable to post the inv. adjustment journal. It is showing a error- "

Setup of ledger account for Inventory expenditure, profit is not specified.
Setup of ledger account for Inventory receipt is not specified. " How do I post the journal ?

Please share more details such as screenshots of your form design, form data sources, the settings of this field, as well as table browser contents for this table.

Also please describe which fields get cleared, and share the settings (especially data source, data field) of these fields as well.

Is there a certain procedure or a checklist to define in D365 to close the project, other than changing the status to finished or close? Sam

Thanks for Reply. Its just a simple String Edit type field bind to a datasource. When I try to modify this field it disappears data on some of the fields like The other field is a integer field which reserves its values. Date and real data type fields do not reserves the values. The properties seems to be same for all.

Please share the properties.

Also please check following methods in the underlying table: modifiedField and update. Is there any specific logic?

This thing is also happening when form is closed via "Close" button at bottom . Do I have to override the close button?

Hello all, I am a newbie to Microsoft AX development. My scenario is that I have a form with multiple fields. There is a specific field "Vehicle Data" , when I modified or enter some data here the data I entered on all the previous fields seems to be disappeared except for 2 or 3 fields. My field is bind to my datasource and there is nothing written in the modified method of the field. I am unable to find any property that could be set  to resolve the issue . Any help or guidance plz

there is a method in table, which sets the value. thanks for that. But close button on the bottom does not save anything. hence it refreshes some of the data

The standard behavior of the system is that closing a form also saves the data.

I think its saving on the close button but its doing on init() of form which is making the data disappear but im unable to find

The init method of the form is called only when the form is opened. If it's called at some other point, you have some kind of bad customization. And that can definetely cause some strange behavior.

Hi Sam,

The system has no support for a complete checklist. What you need to do or check depends on the project type. Alsways check if you have all transactions posted and remaining amounts invoiced.

If there is an estimate project, finish complete the estimation.

If you missed something and closed the projecr, you can easy reopen it to allow posting of late tranaactions.

May be the data is saved on close and doing something (although only at the form opening) which cause the data to be deleted

Hi Ruthj,

If you go to the Ledger form in GL > Setup, Is there any account structure linked? Is the financial part of the system setup with account structures?
