Its a little more tricky in that the default functionality sets the margin for the whole sales order. Which is fine when you are only concerned with 0 margin threshold. However if you have a different minimum margin by item then customisation is needed. The order can then be set to hold or you can customise further for the system to do this and for an approval processes to be followed.
We typically have to do this for most customers.

I agree we shouldn't opt out and having done customization in the right way would reduce the time and impact of of upgrade to the latest release. My question was around some exceptional scenarios where if a customer can't afford to do that at that point due to any major work or milestone currently in progress and they want to opt out and revisit it later.

Is it mandatory for a D365FO client to apply latest updates (both platform and applications releases) as they become available after they went live. I understand the platform updates are like binary updates and have no impact (or minimal impact). But applications releases may still require code conflict resolution and testing. Can a customer decide to opt out and don't take these commutative updates?
All sorted. Had to change linktype on PurchLineOpenOrder form from "Delayed" to "Inner Join" for PurchTable.

If you create a new WBS line, the default category should automatically Pop up.

Informed our programmer to do the validation.
This solved the issue by using instance name: 01- MicrosoftDynamicsAX
I do not want to install 2nd AOS however was trying to upgrade RTM to CU13 by copy pasted extracted cu13 slipstream in setup update folder and running the setup. System detected update and finished setup however application and kernel versions are still not updated that is different question though.
When I install second AOS (AX2012 R2) on a computer then has been issued with message "Cannot find configuration for AOS instance 0-1". Please help me if you have any solution for this issue. Thanks
Hi- I have a list of defined project categories. In the form of setup of project categories I choose the menu option category setup> validation, I get the form Category validation project assignments.
I can't add any project there, the menu option 'New' is disabled.
In project parameters, the validation is set to 'mandatory'.
Did I miss anything?

You asked about a validation, then you said something which sounds like you want to modify the value and not validating it, and then you ask about comparing fields without explaining what problem you have wit it. We can't help you if we don't understand what you need....
Start by explaining whether you want to validate or to update the field.

Hi All,
The following error comes up when the user tries to post a particular journal in Accounts payable > Journals > Payment > Payments Journal.
"The booking profile was not set up with the debitor parameters"
I did set the default posting profile under Ledger and Tax in Accounts Payable Parameters but the error still comes.
Any help is appreciated.

I'm facing an issue where i want to capture screenshot for all screen that are connected with my system right now. but the problem is I couldn't know how to use get_allscreen() method.
