You have to check the status and remaining periods for these assets. Was the acquisition value below a capitalization threshold? Then it might be depreciated at once. Please provide some more information.

Practically there is not a lot of difference and in prior versions of Ax service items were used for non-stock.
I mentioned some minor differences.
The procurement categories or coverage policies or item attributes you use for non- stocked item are likely to be different from hose that use for a true Service so while not necessary it is useful to have both options.

What is the difference between Item and Service, if both are selected as NonStock Item(Unchecked Stocked product checkbox in item model group)
If both will have same functionality then what is the purpose of giving stocked product check box.
And also what happens if product is service and in item model i have selected stocked product checkbox ?

hi
I have an strange issue on all my users not using Terminal Server (i.e. the AX client is installed locally - Win10). When they go to GL - Setup - Ledger Calendars, and click on the drop down button to show the list of groups, it does not show the list... However if I type in the group name, it validates and accepts it.
I'm not sure if it is a dot.net issue possibly..? Or if there are other components not installed.
Anyone else experience this ?

The default order type is configurable, from the default order settings and again from the item coverage record. This enables the system to suggest default purchase, production or transfer orders to fulfill the demand - why so you believe it is a customisation?

I have a AX 2009 environment. I am trying to connect to this enviornment using a window service app. I am trying to perform create operation in AX 2009 using this windows service app which uses AIF. I am getting an exception which i can see in AX 2009 exception window
There is no action with service = 'CustCustomerService' and Operation='create'.
Can anyone please share steps in detail to fix this issue on AX side.

Error: VS 2013 AX SSRS Report: "Object reference not set to an instance of an object"
Hi guys,
I am trying to create a new SSRS report in VS 2013. After creating the report model project. i am trying to add a new report in that from Add--> Report option but facing an error given below.
Upon checking the event viewer it is logging this event.
Any idea how to resolver this issue. i am unable to proceed with the reports creation.

Try checking this article and changing "Automatic data caching" property:

Also, there is a property that is called RunOn on the form tile control, try setting it to local(I might be wrong and it might only apply to form part)
The thing is that tiles are sometimes "get stuck" and cache doesn't work properly. You can try to use this code also to force tile to refresh
TileDataService::forceRefresh(tilestr(<tileName>), formRun)
Also full build and DB Sync might help.

Work space - Tile count is not working
Hey All,
I am facing issue in showing count on tile in workspaces.
I have followed below mentioned link for creating simple tile.

In my case query is working fine and showing required data whereas count is not appearing on tile.
I also tried to create same tile by following personalizing approach for that form and it showing required count on tile.

when i click the customer account it need to go to customer form , i am using mousedown() method in my form but now its deprecated in dynamics 365 so what is alternative method for this or anyother way to do this please advice in Dynamics 365.
