Yes you can duplicate that role from AOT and change access one by one. You can also use security development tool for testing.

Global address problem after company copy
Hi!
I copied all of the main data from a company to a new one, using data definitions group export/import.
The main problem is that after the copy the addresses shows up in the vendtable form, but not in the setup->Address form:
At other hand, in the global address table there is the record, but still no address:
Another problem is that not all off addresses show up in the ContactPerson form:
If the source vendor's address wasn't public, I can correct it, with inserting new record into the Address table, but with public addresses (with global address) I have no idea what can I do.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Sales Manager Default EP Rolecenter page customization
I created one SSRS report and that ssrs report is added into Sales Manager Rolecenter page, after that i created one user with Sales Manger role. when i open AX Default Sales manger rolecenter page opened with SSRS report title only shown report not genrated... then i assigned System administrator role into that user now SSRS report generated with data.
i don't know how to assign ssrs report security privilege to Sales manager role, can any one pleasegive solution to fix that issue.

Batch Job stuck in executing status but dooesn't execute class logic
Hi all,
I have created a batch job executing class wich is implemented to insert a record in table every two minutes (just for testing), the job is created fine and goes from waiting to executing status but stuck there and don't execute any logic.
I have tried to run standard batch jobs through running reccurent reports, same problem.
I have found solution for batch jobs not executing but my case is particular because this one goes to executing status.
Has anyone faced this case ?

but I don't know how to setup email in Ax

To set alert- Right click on batch form and select create alerts, you will see multiple options, like column name( you can select status) and operation ( like update, create - here you can select update) and then select an email option and also define the user or AD group.

You mentioned that the production order is not updated with the invoice raw material cost prices.
- Are there price differences between the receipt and invoice price?
- What is the status of your production order?
- Have you run an inventory close/recalculation?
About your inventory value Report
- What item model valuation do you use for your raw materials (FIFO, LIFO,...)
- Also here, has an inventory recalculation been done?
When do you want to expect the adjustments to be recorded (2016 or 2017) and is your previous year still open?

Inventory Issue with AX 2012 R3
Dear Team,
We are facing an issue regarding the inventory and it is given below:
1). We have purchased some items from a vendor through purchase order and the product receipt is done in 2016, where as the invoice is done in 2017.
2). These materials are used in production and it is utilized in 2016.
3). In the costing sheet of the production, the cost for the raw materials are not updated.
4). Also in the Inventory value report the total cost for the raw materials is displayed with the amount which is created in the PO. But the quantity is deducted and the average cost is displayed based on this.
Kindly need to know how can we move the value from Raw material to finished goods without changing the quantity. Expecting your solution asap.

I am puzzled that you say this happens for any device - that would seem to rule out device or Windows problems.
What version of Windows is used for this user,? Is it the same on all the devices used?
If you’re using the Remote Desktop Connection (mstsc.exe), then there were changes in Windows 8.1 that may be responsible.
What is the default font? Ax does not like using other fonts like Arial..
Has the user done anything to scale her font size - not all such changes work with rdp.
In the Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 VPAT it states (in a convoluted way) that this is not supported. ( You never heard of it? I'm not surprised its buried on a generic MS accessibility website. The impression I get is that there were so many issues they just dropped support for the feature of text size scaling.)
Try changing the local pc font size to the smallest and see what happens -Control Panel -> All Control Panel Items -> Display and change the slider all the way to the left:
You can try these workarounds:
1. login to SQL server and change the value of the field FormFontSize in the UserInfo table.
Or to customize user depended fonts for reports and forms in AX 2012 client:
Open a new developer workspace
in the AOT forms, SysUserSetup, designs, design(sys), [tab:tab](sys)], right click [TabPage.Fonts] (sys) and select Properties
Set the property ‘visible’ which is by default ‘No’ to ‘Yes’
Save and compile the form change.
In the AX 2012 client you will see the menu file (Note: the blue button top left),
go to Tools, Options, for the fonts and set the setting there by user.
However it does not change everything, so is at best a workaround.

On-hand is not stored in a table, but is calculated dynamically, so you can't put an alert on it.
Master scheduling action messages/planned order releases effectively do the same job.

I successful linked the Fixed Asset in Purchase Requisition but one thing is missing.
When I create Purchase Order from PR, product name is not coming to PO. PO received and invoiced and new Fixed Asset is created with qty, UOM and price but name and description is missing. I entered product name and description in PR.
Any idea why its not coming to FA.
