i think i am not clear, in my understanding you mean fixed asset will be fully charged at time of acquisition did this depreciation amount not include all period depreciation including disposal period if disposal period include then this workaround will not work in my case because no depreciation should be charge on period of disposal e.g month

Is there any check box in fixed asset to calculate the fixed asset depreciation full at month of acquisition and no depreciation at month of disposal. As i know at time of acquisition we can achieve full month depreciation through depreciation convention. Waiting for response Thank You

If it's customized, find the relevant role to access the the form
menu item (Right click)-> Add ins -> Security tools -> View related security roles.

I have to develop custom tooltip on RefId field in ReqTransExplosion form. Unfortunately overriding of toolTipField and toolTipRecord on ReqTrans table does not work. I always see standard informations on tooltip there: plan version recid and reference id. I can't use tooltip method on data source field, because i need to put some record specific informations there. How can i achieve this? And why there are so strange informations, despite the Title1 and Title2 properties on ReqTrans point to other fields?

DMF uses staging table, so excel template have fields from staging table, using names of fields from staging table.
Excel add-in writes directly to tables or uses AIF classes, so some fields would be similar between DMF template and Excel Add-in template but number of filed and field's name could be different as well.

Did you try to extend a query ? You can find DirQuery in AOT -> right click -> Create extension.Then you can add new datasource to a query via extension.
Yah .. I am aware about that.. Here lies the problem... The query is in Application Suite but the table i am trying add to the datasource belong to another lower model which cannot be extended to the application suite.. Sorry for missing that info in my question.. This was allowed in ax 2012 but unfortunately we are unable to use any object which are in lower model in application suite .. So i was trying to dynamically add the datasource by using the event handler for the view which belongs to application suite in a new class created in my model.. Any suggestion on this
I am currently building cubes using dynamics AX. There are certain functionalities like calculations and hierarchies which cannot be handled within the AX perspectives hence I am editing the cube externally on an SSAS project.
I want to store these customization back into the AOT instead of saving it as a separate local project. I have tried importing the edited cube into AOT, but the customization are not saved. this would mean each time there is a change on AOT objects, the older customization would have to be done again, along with the new changes.
How should one handle integration of cube customization and AOT changes, and long term cube maintenance?
Are there any resolution steps or workarounds I can try?

You have new extension model, let's call it "Application Suite Extensions". You extending your query to "Application Suite Extensions" model. Now you can add reference to that " lower model" and use that table, why not ?

May I seek your advise with regards to our setup. One of our retail client is experiencing lags as they perform their usual transactions while the other user is posting statements. We have a dedicated AOS for the AX users as well as for posting of statements. What do you think is the reason why they are experiencing delays/lags/slow performance even though they have different AOS?

The solution is already mentioned above, debug the DIXF process while it is running in Visual Studio by attaching to the AX AOS process in a Test environment, and see what do you have in the query / record buffers, which leads to missing some.
Alternatively you could do an SQL trace and check the WHERE clauses and JOINs and CROSS APPLYs in the select statements, to see what would be the cause for filtering out the values.

In AX 2012 R3, i want to copy the Employee master details including employee name, employee id, all his personal details, contact information from one company of live server and to show all employee details in one company of test instance. How i can achieve this.
Both test and live instance are in the same sever and same database.
