Open AOT in the AX development client, then \Menu items\Display\VendTable > Right click > Add-ins > Security development tool > View related security roles.
It will show you all security roles, duties, privileges associated with the table, and the name should give you hints on which one is used for what. This way you could find yourself any other security duties in the future, on AX tables, menu items, etc.

In the retail store I did setup "Statement method" is shift, "Closing method" is shift. When I did calculate by manual, selected "Closing method" is Shift, there are nothing calculated.

Sales order Item reservation
Hi to all !
I am working in the Ax2012 R3 and advance warehouse managment. I want to know the below scenario.
1) created a sales order for a part number and how the reservation happens for the inventory. It means up to which level site - warehouse - batch number - location - pallet id ????
2) while generating the pick list against work order, whether the pick list will show the items "available" in the location or it will show all the locations where the item is available.

Hi,
There are quite a few reasons behind updating to 'Posted' at the end of Production (and not before).
One big reason that immediately crosses my mind is, 'Scrap/Quarantine'.
To answer your question, YES, the inventory posting can be forced during Picking, and disabled at end of Production with some code. (at both places)

Now I can able to lookup the table names, but not the able to lookup the field names which are related to tablename, do I have to write code in lookup method of fieldname in form?

I have to create lookup on form/table which allows to select AX table and related fields:
Suppose that table contains two columns "Table name" and "Field name"
I want to have lookup which allow me to select "Table name" from all table names in AX and after that allow to select "Field name" of selected table.
How can i do it simply ??

Hi,
Depends on available qty at location and qty to be picked.
Consider Item_A and to be picked 20 ea.
But available qty at Location_A is 10, Location_B is 20 and Location_B is 30.
In this case two work will be created to pick 20 ea. WO_1 to pick 10 ea from Location_A and WO_2 to pick from Location_20.
In case picked qty is 10 , then 1 work will be created to pick from Location_A
Another case if you want to pick Item from Fixed location of Item only and Location_A only fixed location for item_A. And qty 20 ea to be picked to fulfill sales order.
In this case it will create WO_1 to to pick from Location_A and WO_2 without location (It will not show non fixed location even though item available on these location)

When I post picking list on production order the inventory status on lines on picking list is Deducted. When I end production order the lines will be in status Posted. Is it possibel to have this lines Posted before production order is ended?

In our org. retail stores are created as financial dimension,if the store was closed how can i temporarily suspend the financial dimension values.After that if i need to post any pending transactions how can i reopen it?
