Loss of palletIDs in transfer orders AX2009

Hello everyone,

We are currently using locations and palletIDs as dimensions for Warehouse Management in AX2009, and I am trying to execute transfer orders between two warehouses. I would like to keep the same palletID in the operation, but apparently it is lost everytime in the following situation:

Transfer order of qty 20 from warehouse WH1 to warehouse WH2.
Item in WH1 is in bulk location 01-01-01 in pallet #1 (qty 20)
A transit warehouse WH0 is set for WH1 and WH2.

I first complete the shipment of the item: output order, create new shipment, activate shipment => a full pallet transport order is created from 01-01-01 to out location. The transport is completed (pallet #1 moved to out location) and shipment sent. Then in transfer order > ship transfer order, I update the transfer with: autoreceive off, update All + edit lines, Close line. After this, the transfer order status is shipped and on hand inventory shows the pallet #1 in In location of transit WH0.

However I am struggling for the reception of the items: transfer order > receive triggers a "Inventory dimension Pallet ID must be specified." error whatever the settings. If I attempt registration on the transfer order line, location is set to In in WH2 but palletID is empty and posting triggers the same error. The only way I found to receive the transfer is to create a new arrival journal, create lines from the transfer order reference and then manually generate a new palletID for each line. In this case, I also lose the initial palletID.

In the end, I have pallet #1 in out location of WH1 (weird, should be in transit) and pallet #2 in In location of warehouse WH2. Is there a way to keep the pallet for the whole transfer operation? What am I missing? Any help or advice appreciated!

Thanks for your help,

Victor
