Hello Microsoft Dynamics Community!
I was wondering if someone could give, or direct me to, a more thorough explanation or example of what the "From qty." field could be used for when using it as a criteria for setting up which BOM version to use. I've been doing some research and experimenting with a few ideas, but I'd like to find out more about the "From qty." field before I invest the time in implementing several changes to my BOMs. Most of my search results have just directed me to the brief Microsoft Technet description:
"From qty. = The minimum quantity that is valid for this BOM version. When generating orders, Microsoft Dynamics AX selects a BOM version based on this and other criteria that you define. If the field is cleared, this BOM version is valid for all quantities."
I'll try to provide some more detail about what exactly I'm trying to implement, but any insights you might have in the meanwhile I would love to hear. If it makes a difference, I'm using Microsoft Dynamics Ax 2009.
