We have below requirement -
Add three new fields -Physical, financial cost amount & Cost Price on invent trans table.
Populate values in these three field as if item model group of item is set to Moving Average.
User don't want to change model group setup on item master. So whenever we will create PO & issue SO for it they want these three values should be populated with the values as if item has set to Moving average model group.
I don't know what will be best approach to achieve this?
1. Understand Std logic how each field is getting populated and then replicate same for new fields.
In this case I will have to replicate each & every method with this new fields name.So no of objects impacted will be high. (Anybody knows where I could find the logic? I tried but it is lit bit complex to understand.)
2. Write custom code after invoice, packing slip posting where all custom code will be placed in single method.
I will just do the calculations.(in this case if physical / financial cost is also considering additional discount, tax amount then my code will not work. I don't know at this point if it will have impact of other values as well)
Please help me at earliest.
