We are running AX 2012 R3 CU9. Everyday, I am getting few transactions with blank variantid in retailtransactionsalestrans table. In our setup all items are configured as product master with variant. This kind of transaction is stopping the retail statement calculation as system is not able to identify which variant was sold as just the itemid is available. Anyone has faced similar issue in any version of AX ?
Observations
- It happens in random transactions for random items in random stores for random users.
- There is no repetition or visible pattern.
- The product is released to multiple companies. Channel DB contain variantid which is specific to its company only.
- I tried adding the product to transaction using item id, item name, style code using product search screen and bar code scanning. The issue could not be reproduced.
