I've asked our developers several times over the years, as I'm worried on how the AX archive is affecting the overall performance of our IT systems. And most of all our AX performance.
It takes about 30 minutes to simply open the folder - and we are running on a SSD SAN.
I fail to grasp the reasons behind the simplicity in having 1 folder contaning every document ever made/attached from AX.

Contains: 4.025.958 files, 2 folders

Are there no way to categories the many files into folders - by months, year or else?
Are there no way to clean out the growing folder?
Should the total amount of files in the folder (4.025.958) not correspond to the document counter (1.590.001)?
