When SSRS reports use AOT query?

Hi,

I am trying to create SSRS reports using X++. I saw some reports with a query in AOT\Queries and not for some others.

On which basis should a query is a needed?

Also if anyone can send me a whole tutorial for creating SSRS reports using X++, it would be a great help.
