Lookup will look at the fields in the 'AutoLookup' FieldGroup , Do you have anything in that group or when there are no fields in AutoLookup group, it will use the fields specified in the table properties TitleField1 and TitleField2 and the fields in the first unique index.

This is a very generic error, I don't think you'll be able to identify the cause just from information provided above. If it happens more often, you should configure collection of memory dumps on crash. From that, you can find more details, such as what was the call stack leading to the exception.

Vendor portal authentication and Azure ACS deprecation
Hello,
We’re on AX 2012 CU13.
We’re rolling out the Vendor portal on EP.
We’re using Azure ACS for vendor authentication using external identity providers like Facebook, Google and Windows live.
We just learned that Microsoft announced the end of life for Azure ACS for November 2018.
We will not be on D365 by then. Not close.
What is the migration strategy for vendor portal authentication ?
Microsoft suggests to migrate on another technology like Azure AD.
Does Azure AD support federations like Facebook, Google or Windows Live?
What is the compatibility level of Sharepoint 2013 and Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 with Azure AD ?
Is there a roadmap from Microsoft for the migration scenario of the vendor portal authentication?

Sales Order: ReceiptDateRequested
I'm trying to create a sales order in Dynamics AX 2012 R3 (CU13) via Scribe Insight. I need to set ReceiptDateRequested, however, that field is not showing up in my target fields. How can I expose that field over the AIF web service?

I dont think AX 2012 shows form template or Style when you personalize . What specifically you are looking for ? Either you should remember all form patterns so by just visualizing you come to know what form pattern is used or go to visual studio and find out which form pattern is used

Thanks Vilmos, we did that.
It looks like when I tried to modify the PricingEngine months ago, when I backed out the code changes and put the original DLL back in place that it still left a finger in some DLL somewhere that is causing the crash. I think we didn't notice it back then because it was only recently that we started to heavily test customizations while logged in as a call centre user. And the crash mostly happens when testing as a call centre user.
Microsoft suggested:
Option 1:
1. un-install all AX components from the dev server
2. remove the folders C:\Program Files\Microsoft Dynamics AX and C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics AX
3. re-install the AX components
Option 2:
Preferred since I don’t know any of the customization or changes that were done
1. Build out a new dev VM with the same components that match your working UAT environment
My boss is looking into these options.

AOS crashes on the Development box
Starting about 2 weeks ago our AOS will crash, literally stopped and then I have to restart it.
It mostly happens in SalesTable adding a new line and with my login added as a retail channel user. We have found that in general when the userID is Retail, the automatic populating of the order line is slower than when entering a sales order line as a non-retail user.
My form changes to unresponsive after I entered the itemID. For retail it usually takes a while before it populates the default quantity and price etc, but sometimes it is so slow that it becomes not responsive and the AOS crash at that point.
I had it crash while I am not even running code, I am just in the AOT saving my code changes.
I must also say that it happens more when I turn off the "Run business operations in CIL" flag under Tools -> Options -> Development tab. I do that when I test code and want to use breakpoints.
I installed DebugDiag2 and added a rule to monitor the specific process for AX32Serv.exe. I tried to include a full heap but that makes AX so slow that it doesn't even want to load the main menu. So I had to remove it.
The DebugDiag 2 analysis tool came back with the following error:

Did anybody ran into this themselves and can shed some light on it? As I said I cannot run the tool with PageHeap Flags checked because it about kill AX performance, because the main menu can't even open, it just sits there with a grey screen.
If it was code related, then why would it crash even when I try to save X++ code in the AOT?

Can anyone suggest some good sites for self-training in D365 development?
Usually Microsoft customerSource has a "Get trained with eLearning" tile but it seems that tile isn't working. If I click on it the wheel just spins and nothing loads. At the beginning of the year I used the development tutorials on there for AX 2012. Wanted to see if they had anything on there for D365 development.
I did a 2-day pre-conference D365 training in Nashville during the AX summit, but I'm looking for more in detail information about moving existing AX 2012 custom code to D365 using extensions.
I need to start moving custom to D365 by the end of the year.

In AX 2012 R3, it's Sys Admin -> Setup -> Licensing -> Licence configuration, and you'll find it under 'Trade'.
I can't find it in D365; perhaps it became redundant.

I was just ask the same question by a client. In your column format you may have B + C under column D. When the report is generated and exported to excel, in excel under the Report tab (first tab) you will see the formulae B10+C10 under cell D10, for example. Under the Report - Acct Detail tab (second tab) only the result of D10 is shown and not the formulae.
Are formulas reflected under the detail level tab in excel?
